How should I store and handle hearing aid batteries?

To maximize battery life and performance, store batteries at room temperature in a dry place and keep them in their original packaging until use. Remove the colored sticker just before insertion and let the battery sit for about a minute. Handle batteries with clean hands to avoid contamination. Remove batteries if the hearing aid won't be used for an extended period and always dispose of used batteries properly according to local regulations.
